Exotic Cuisine

You don’t want to go down this road. This way lies maggoty bread, colourful fruits, fermented milk products, ground up meats, and people rolling their eyes over the application of the word “exotic” to food they grew up with. Justifiably so. It is a stupid word. Within twelve years of the time of writing it will be added to a Department of Current Linguistics-sanctioned list of words with no meaning, and attempts will be made to remove it from the public vocabulary. It will not be a success, but the meaning will officially shift to indicate that the speaker has no idea what they’re talking about.
